"I made my first quilt from maternity blouse scraps and children's play clothes, which filled three large grocery bags. Then I made a quilt for each of our four beds: my brother, sister and parents. Next I made two quilts to keep myself busy while my husband was in Vietnam for a year. After that I discovered quilt shops and all manner of wonderful things just for quilters like classes from all the great quilting teachers, non-juried and juried quilt shows, and publications.
Now, I want to use up my fabric and make all my design sketches and finish up my latest quilt (with my 95 year old mother) and have the good grace to give some of these quilts away. They're taking up every closet."
