"I began quiltmaking in 1977 after many years as a knitter, needlepointer, cross-stitcher, and spinner (all of which have fallen by the way since discovering quilting.) My quilts are noted for being innovative adaptations of traditional patterns and my use of Peaky and Spike to create the illusion of curves from straight piecing. This quilt is composed of 18 blocks made in a Swamp Patch Variation design. The top is entirely pieced from solid color cottons and cotton blends."
