"The inspiration for this quilt came soon after my brother, a long-time admirer of J.R.R. Tolkien, convinced me to read the literary masterpiece The Lord of the Rings.
The centerpiece of the quilt depicts Aragorn's ultimate victory over the enemy, his coronation as the king of Gondor and his marriage to Arwen. Also present is my representation of the white wizard Gandalf. The horses of Rohan, along with the tree and horn of Gondor, stand for the world of men. The Gate of Moria is for the dwarves. You can find many other characters depicted in the quilt too.
The One Ring dominates the upper feathered border. Within the ring are the Elvish words which translate 'One Ring to rule them all.'"
