Mary Carol Gobel machined pieced the 2,703 two-inch squares in this quilt; her mother, Verla Adams, hand quilted it.
Mary Carol has always been intrigued with quilts, and has been making all types of quilts for some years. Her first was a Nine Patch she made for her doll when she was a little girl. She comments, “Quiltmaking is fascinating to me because I am continually learning something new. I hope to inspire people to try anything creative that will make them feel good about themselves. Quiltmaking has been a great comfort to me.”
Verla says that for a number of years her daughter Mary Carol has furnished her with beautiful, pieced quilt tops that she has hand quilted and bound.
