"Three clusters of white coneflowers are blooming in a garden surrounded by blue and violet triangles. Bugle beads are scattered on the soil around the base of the plants. The plants are heavily machine embroidered, which has now become my signature style. Notice the centers of each flower; they were created by using tiny circles to blend the shades of yellow thread. This creates sculptured realistic centers.
White coneflowers were one of the first flowers I ever planted in my garden at home in Racine. White seems to be brighter and more colorful in my shady setting than other flowers."
