Photo taken inside John Halliday and Sons Hardware. Image depicts whick and scale and "chore girl" product on counter with well stocked shelves in the background. "Jan 12/41" written on back of image. This store was purchased by John Halliday in 1941. Original owners were J.W. McDonald later joined by Geo E. Hay and firm named “McDonald & Hay”. Eventually Geo. W. McDonald, son of J.W. took over the business and operated until 1941 until sold to John Halliday. Business was later sold to Robert Edwards in 1957.
