On back, " notice, different from last picture I sent you, taken from same position, Feb. 4,/41., also notice empty shelves." This store was purchased by John Halliday in 1941. Original owners were J.W. McDonald later joined by Geo E. Hay and firm named “McDonald & Hay”. Eventually Geo. W. McDonald, son of J.W. took over the business and operated until 1941 until sold to John Halliday. Business was later sold to Robert Edwards in 1957. Information from "North Bay" by WKP Kennedy.
