Description

The photographer's envelopes (a-c) contains a small piece of paper with details about the Chief Commanda on it (d). As well as the envelope also contains negatives and photographs (e-l) of the Chief Commanda making various stops along the French River. The paper notes that the Chief Commanda is a 200 passenger cruise ship. The ship was owned by the Ontario Government (Ontario Northland Boat Lines) and that it makes daily trips to French River Resorts with passengers and freight. The images show the Chief Commanda making stops at the Lunge Lodge, the Keystone Camp, and Chaudiere Lodge. The images are all taken from a distance of the ship showing people getting on and off the boat to their various locations. A part of the Forder Collection.
