Photographs of plane crash. Bollingbroke Mk. IV s/n 9076 was being ferried by a crew from Ferry Detachment at North Bay. The detachment was part of the R.C.A.F. Station Rockcliffe-based No. 124 (Ferry) Squadron. The aircraft took off from North Bay in windy conditions on the 5th of April, 1943 and immediately experienced a starboard engine failure. The aircraft's wing dropped and the pilot was unable to recover it. The Bollingbroke struck the ground in a steepening turn at 16:07 hours. Neither crew member was injured. The aircraft sustained Category 'A' damage and subsequently written off. The crew included Pilot - Pilot Officer S. L. Everett. And Crewman - LAC W. E. Corbett.
