"The poster was advertising / commemorating the "Presentation of Colours", which is the formal presentation of two flags to the unit. The flags are known as the "Colours" and are symbolically very important. There is a Queen's colour and a Regimental colour,The Queen's represents the regiment's loyalty to the crown and the regimental colour, the battle honours of the regiment.
