A black and white print of the old North Bay Post Office building. This building was built in 1908, and has since been replaced by a newer, larger building, now known as the City Center/Centre Ville building. The original Post Office, shown in this image, is a two story brick building with Gothic pillars each side of the arched doorway. There is a railing that surrounds the rooftop, with a flagpole flying the Union Jack. The building beside it advertises Jewel stoves & ranges, hardware, paints, oils, glass cuts, J.W. Richards. On the back of the postcard is a red 2cent stamp that has been cancelled by the black lines at the post office. The postmark reads North Bay, Ont. May 5, 1916. the message is sent to Margret from Daddy.
