Description

The postcard has a simulated birchbark background. The front of the postcard depicts the Canadian insignia with an angel in white on the left hand side along with two small beavers and a chain of maple leaves. On the back of the postcard is the signage "green one cent stamp - King Edward V11 (upside down)." There also is a circular postal stamp that reads "ORILLIA,ONT Feb 19 4 p.m. 1913." There is a handwritten message in ink written vertically on the left hand side saying: "Dear Friend Ethel and all. Thought I would drop you a few lines trusting they will find youse all well. I have been sick with a cold I was not able to go to work till this morning was off of a whole I feel a little better now how are all the people up around their write soon your friend Annie" The address is also handwritten in ink: "Miss Ethel Jancowski Fesserton, Ont" This postcard is one of a collection of 33 cards found when moving from 101 Main St. E. to CPR building.
