Description

The postcard has a Canadian Red Ensign with crest "The Maple Leaf For Ever" surrounded by green & yellow maple leaves. It says Greetings from an unknown location with glitter stuck on. The back of the postcard has "Green 1c stamp with picture of Edward V11," written on the back. The postcard is dated Feb. 13, 1909. The postcard is addressed to Bingham Road, Feb. 13, l909. Miss M. Thomson Box 60, Jarvis, Ont. The message listed on the postcard is: "Dear Friend - Received your card & was more then pleased to hear from you. Well Mary have you had any sleigh rides yet. I only had one and it looks like that will be the last the way the snow is. Hope this finds you enjoying good health. Bye Bye. When you see Gertie tell her for me I'm looking for a letter from her every day. Suppose the baby is as fat as ever." On the bottom right hand corner of the back of the postcard written in pencil is "ks jm js 7.00 ," this probably amount paid by collector for card. This is one of the set of 33 found when Museum moved from corner of Main & Ferguson to CPR BLDG.
