Description
The front of the postcard has a coloured photo of Main St. North Bay, Ont.. The image is taken at the intersection of Ferguson Street, named after John Ferguson, founder of North Bay. The view of the mainstreet is facing west. On the Left hand side there is a white building which is the Mackay House. Right hand side the first building is the later siite of Liggett's Drug Store in l950's. This woud later become the Toronto Dominion Bank, and now today is Pizza Pizza.
On the back of the postcard is postmarked "North Bay, Ont. May 10, 9.30 a.m. 1913." There is a green 1c stamp showing King George V. The postcard is addressed to: Mr. Norman Lee Hammer, 4530 Eberly Ave., Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A. The Message reads "Papa misses you and Howard awful much. You must be a nice boy and do what mamma tells you then papa will bring you something from Canada when he comes home. Papa."Creator
