Description

Postcard with color image of Pacific Hotel (later called the St. Regis Hotel). The hotel was built in 1886 to cater to rail traffic; located at the corner of Toronto Street (now Oak Street) and North Bay Road (now Algonquin Avenue). Partially Demolished/heavily renovated in 1981. Back of postcard: "PRIVATE POST CARD" "This Space May be Used For Correspondence" on left half of card "This Space Is For Address Only" on right half of card Stamp - King George V, 1 cent Postmark is North Bay Ont. PM AP 24, 11 Message: ``Am not going back to Montpelier for some time yet perhaps late in summer. So try & postpone that May affair till then.
