Description
Postcard with photo of entry gate to Ferguson Highway (Highway 11) in North Bay, as the road heads north towards Temagami. Sign on the gate reads: "STOP -- GET YOUR ENTRY PERMIT HERE" with a small guard station to right of the entry. The highway officially opened on 2 July 1927. Later, it became a northern branch of the Trans-Canada. Named for the Honorable G. Howard Ferguson, Premier of Ontario from 1923-1930.
