He died of his injuries in hospital Thursday 15 August 1960. "Card of Thanks" (26 August 1960) publishes an acknowledgement of those who have sent flowers to Birdie after Wilfred's death. "Nip. Group Meets" (25 August 1960) notes the Women's Prayer Group and Mrs Guy McLeod asking to send prayers to the Rousseau family.
