Description

-Black and white photo of a parade in support of the Red Cross, on Main Street. -During First World War. -Several antique cars in shot along with a tri-wheeled vehicle shaped like a boat. -35.4 cm long, 30.6 cm wide. -Notes: Re. above: I don't know much of the history but my grandfather Bernard Mulligan had everyone laughing at him as he built his grand house out in the middle of the bush. It now stands opposite the high school in the centre of town. I believe it is now a rooming house. I believe he had something to do with the C.N., and was on the town council. There is a picture of him in the Centenary Book put out on North Bay. My other grandfather Harvey Sherwood also had something to do with the C.N. He later became a sales rep. for Campbell Soups. He had a Coat of Arms dating back to the War of the Roses in England. He moved his family from Birks Falls to North Bay around 1910.
