Description

Print is a black and white photograph of three nuns (R to L: Sisters Shirley Caicco, Jeanne Castonguay and Kathleen Roy) attending a special mass at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption in which they are being blessed before they depart for their first mission to teach in Guatamala. Note their white habits which denote their assignment to a tropical mission. The women worked as teachers in a newly-built school, and helped with social work in the town and surrounding hills. The school was later partially destroyed in an earthquake. Marks: "On the hill to Canadore" written on the reverse in the top proper left corner of the support in pencil.
