ثوب غباني من منطقة القدس، من قماش القطن السوري المطرز بالحرير الذهبي، مطرز بخيوط حرير يغلب عليها اللون الأحمر والقصب المذهب بقطبة التحريرة. قبة الثوب مُطرّزة بأشكال هندسية كالدوائر، ويظهر أعلى القبة قطعة من القماش المخمل البنفسجي مُطرّز عليها عصفور على كل جانب، أما الأكتاف والردهة الخلفية فلا تحمل أي تطريز، كما صُنعت الأكتاف من قماش الحرير الهرمزي باللون الأحمر. وطُرّزت الأكمام المُردنة بنقلة الساعة والمناجل، أما إسورة الكم فطُرّزت بالأشكال النباتية (بقطبة اللف والتحريرة وعرق المناجل)، كما صُنع جزء من الكم من قماش الحرير الهرمزي البرتقالي والخمري. لا يظهر أي تطريز على البدن الأمامي للثوب سوى عرقين من المناجل، بينما يظهر تطريز متوسط الكثافة من عرقين من المناجل يتوسطهم تطريز برسمة الساعة والأشكال النباتية، أما البنايق فقد صُنعت من قماش الحرير الهرمزي الأحمر وطُرّزت برسمة الساعة والأشكال النباتية والهندسية.
A Ghabani thobe (dress) from Jerusalem. It is made of Syrian cotton fabric of golden silk threads and embroidered with primarily red silk threads and gilded qasab (metallic couching cord) with a Tahriri stitch. The chest panel of the thobe is embroidered with geometric shapes like circles, and part of the panel is made of purple velvet fabric that has a tareez (embroidery) of the bird motif. The shoulders are made of red silk (heremzi) fabric while the back of the chest panel (the upper back neckline) bears no embroidery. As for the sleeves, they are mradan (long triangular sleeves) and embroidered with manajil (sickles) and watch motifs. The front panel of the thobe also bears no embroidery but a light tatreez of manajil, whereas the back panel is embroidered with two mid-density stitch patterns of manajil centred by a watch motif and plant shapes. The sides (al-Banayiq) are made of red silk (heremzi) fabric and embroidered alongside a watch motif with geometric and plant shapes.Made/Created
