ثوب من منطقة بئر السبع، من قماش القطن الأسود، مُطرّز بخيوط حرير يغلب عليها اللون الأحمر. قبة الثوب مُطرّزة بالأشكال الهندسية والنباتية وعرق الريش والتشريفة.، أما النياشين فطُرّزت بعرق المقص والأشكال الهندسية، بينما لا تحمل الردهة الخلفية أي تطريز. وطُرّزت الأكمام بعرق السرو والطيور والقوار، اما إسورة الكم فطُرّزت بالأشكال الهندسية والنباتية. يظهر على البدن الأمامي تطريز بعرق السرو بشكل كثيف ليُعطي ايحاء بحركة العرو، أما البدن الخلفي فطُرّز بعرق خيمة الباشا والسرو والريش والأشكال الهندسية.، أما البنايق فمُطرّزة بعرق المقص وخيمة الباشا والسرو والريش والحجابات. وطُرّز ذيل الثوب بقطبة الحشي السائد استخدامها في أثواب منطقة بئر السبع باللون الأزرق.
A thobe (dress) from Bir Saba’. It is made of black cotton and embroidered with primarily red silk threads. The chest panel of the thobe is embroidered with predominantly red geometric and plant shapes along with feather motifs and Tashrifi knots. As for the Nayashin (medal), they have a tatreez (embroidery) of scissors motifs and geometric shapes, while the back of the chest panel (the upper back neckline) bears no embroidery. The sleeves are embroidered with cypress, birds, and rose pots motifs, whereas the cuffs have a tatreez of geometric and plant shapes. The front panel has a heavy tatreez of feather motifs to give an illusion of fans movement, whereas the back panel is embroidered with Pasha’s tent, cypress, and feather motifs along with geometric shapes. The sides (al-Banayiq) have a tatreez of scissors, Pasha’s tent, cypress, feather, and amulets motifs. Additionally, the tail of the thobe is embroidered with blue threads using a Tihshaya (couching) filling stitch, the stitch type used in all thobes from the Bir Saba’ area.Made/Created
