ثوب أبو قطبة اساوري من منطقة العيزرية، من القماش السوري العثماني الأصفر المخطط بالأسود والأحمر، مُطرّز بخيوط الحرير والقصب المُذّهب. صُنعت قبة الثوب من قماش مختلف عن قماش الثوب وهو الحرير الهرمزي وطُرّزت بأشكال هندسية مختلفة، ويظهر أعلى القبة قطعة من القماش المخمل البنفسجي مُطرّز عليها عصفور على كل جانب، كما طُرّز عنق القبة بالمناجل، أما الأكتاف والردهة الخلفية فلا تحمل أي تطريز، كما صُنعت الردهة الخلفية من قماش الحرير الهرمزي باللون الأحمر. طُرّزت الأكمام المردنة بالمناجل والأشكال النباتية والهندسية، وصُنع جزء من الكم بقماش الحرير الهرمزي بالبرتقالي والأحمر، أما إسورة الكم فطُرّزت بالمناجل والأشكال الهندسية. لا يظهر أي تطريز على بدن الثوب الأمامي سوى المناجل، ويظهر على البدن الخلفي تطريز بالمناجل والأشكال النباتية، أما البنايق فقد صُنعت من قماش الحرير الهرمزي وطُرّزت بالمناجل والساعة.
Abu Qutba (Asawiri) thobe (dress) from the area of Al-Eizariya. It is made of yellow Ottoman Syrian cloth striped in black and red, embroidered with silk threads and gilded qasab (metallic couching cord). The chest panel of the thobe is made from a different fabric, which is the heremzi silk, and embroidered with various geometric shapes. Moreover, part of the panel is made of a purple velvet fabric that has a tatreez (embroidery) of the bird motif. The collar is embroidered with manajil (sickles) motifs. As for the shoulders and the back of the chest panel (the upper back neckline) that it is made of red heremzi and bears no embroidery. The sleeves of the thobe are mradan (long triangular sleeves) and embroidered with plant and geometric shapes and manajil motifs. Part of the sleeves is made of the orange and red heremzi silk, while the cuffs are embroidered with manajil and geometric shapes. The front panel of the thobe bears no tatreez but a light embroidery of manajil, whereas the back panel is embroidered with manajil and plant shapes. The sides (al-Banayiq) are made of heremzi silk and embroidered with the manajil and watch motif.Made/Created
