ثوب من منطقة بئر السبع، من قماش القطن والكتان الأسود، مُطرّز بخيوط حرير يغلب عليها اللون الاحمر بقطبة الصليب الفلاحي. قبة الثوب مُطرّزة بأشكال هندسية كالمربعات وأشكال نباتية كالورود تتوسط كل مربع وعرق الريش، كما أنها مُركبة على الثوب بشكل مائل أما الأكتاف والردهة الخلفية فلا تحمل أي تطريز. وطُرّزت الأكمام بشكل متباين ما بين الجهة اليمنى واليسرى، فمن الجهة اليمنى يظهر تطريز من الأشكال النباتية، ومن الجهة اليسرى يظهر تطريز من عرق الجبال والسرو باللون الأحمر. يظهر تطريز كثيف من عرق الجبال والسرو على البدن الأمامي للثوب والبنايق، بينما يظهر تطريز كثيف من الأشكال الهندسية والنباتية وعرق الجبال والسرو على البدن الخلفي للثوب. وطُرّز ذيل الثوب بقطبة الحشي السائد استخدامها في أثواب منطقة بئر السبع..
A thobe (dress) from Bir Saba’. It is made of black cotton and linen and embroidered with primarily red silk threads using a Fallahi (peasant) cross stitch. The chest panel of the thobe, which is asymmetrical, is embroidered with feather motifs and geometric shapes like squares, which are centered by rose shapes. As for the shoulders and the back of the chest panel (the upper back neckline), they bear no tatreez (embroidery). The sleeves are embroidered in a contrasting manner: the right side has a tatreez of plant shapes, while the left side has a tatreez of mountains and cypress motifs in red. The front and back panel of the thobe, as well as the sides (al-Banayiq), are heavily embroidered with mountains and cypress motifs. Additionally, the back panel also features a tatreez of plant and geometric shapes. The tail of the thobe is embroidered using a Tihshaya (couching) filling stitch, the stitch type used in all thobes from the Bir Saba’ area.Made/Created
