Description

(1808-1894)." A photograph of a hand-colored lithographic plate after the German painter Carl Werner, showing a view of the Arch of Ecco Homo, created during his visit to Jerusalem. This street is part of the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem's Old City. The plate includes the large stone arch and the cobblestone street beneath it. This plate was included by Hisham Khatib in his book "Jerusalem, Bethlehem & the Holy Land & Egypt: Paintings by Carl Werner (1808-1894)."
