ثوب الانتفاضة من منطقة رام الله، من قماش القطن الرمادي، مُطرّز بخيوط حرير بألوان العلم الفلسطيني وألوان كالأصفر والأزرق. صُنعت قبّة الثوب من قماش مماثل لقماش الثوب وطُرّزت بأشكال نباتية كعرق الورد والأوراق بقطبة الصليب الفلاحية وعرق المناجل، ويوجد جيب للقبة، أما الأكتاف والردهة الخلفية فلا تحمل أي تطريز. وطُرّزت الأكمام على شكل طيور (حمامة السلام أو نسر) بألوان العلم الفلسطيني، أما إسورة الكم فطُرّزت على شكل طيرين يقابلان بعضهما بعضاً ورسمة قبة الصخرة. يظهر تطريز من عروق متوازية ومتشابهة على البدن الأمامي والخلفي للثوب مُطرّزة على شكل قبة الصخرة ويعلوها طيرين متقابلين (عرق الحماة والكنة) بألوان العلم الفلسطيني رمزيةً للوحدة، كما يوجد تطريز من المناجل.
بدأ ظهور أثواب الانتفاضة عندما اندلعت الانتفاضة الاولى عام 1987، وبات للتطريز دوراُ في المقاومة، فبعد أن صودرت الأعلام الفلسطينية وحُظر اظهارها في الأماكن العامة، طرّزت نساء الضفة ألوان العلم على الأثواب بجانب شعارات ورموز وطنية.

The Intifada (Palestinian uprising) thobe (dress) from Ramallah. It is made of grey cotton and embroidered with silk threads in the colours of the Palestinian flag as well as yellow and blue. The chest panel of the thobe is embroidered with plant shapes like roses and leaves along with manajil (sickles) motifs with a Fallahi (peasant) cross stitch. Morover, the chest panel also features pockets. As for the shoulders and the back of the chest panel (the upper back neckline), they bear no tatreez (embroidery). The sleeves are adorned with bird motifs (dove peace) in the colors of the Palestinian flag, while the cuffs are embroidered with two bird motifs facing each other, as well as the shape of the dome of the rock. The front and back panel feature a tatreez of parallel stitch patterns of the dome of the rock shape topped with two opposing bird motifs (mother-in-law and daughter-in-law motif) in the colours of the Palestinian flag to symbolize unity, and there is also an embroidery of manajil motifs.
The Intifada thobes came into being in 1987 with the emergence of the First Intifada. Embroidery played a role in the Palestinian resistance; after Palestinian flags were confiscated and prohibited from being displayed in public places, women in the West Bank embroidered the colors of the flag on their thobes along with national slogans and symbols.Made/Created
