Marini's sculptures, paintings and prints often include horses in their imagery. Against a grey-green ground, in this work, the artist depicted two abstracted horses together with a human figure. The limbs of the subjects are attenuated and the bodies and faces lack specific details. Around the edges of the image is a border where the paper color is evident, enclosed by an erose yellow line.
