Cranston Newspaper Press 1945 Peerless Printing Press Co. Palmyra, New York The Printing Museum Collection* 1992.054.01 Common in small weekly newspapers until the 1960s, such presses featured automatic inking and delivery. Paper was fed manually on the top delivery board. Of interest is the belt drive; often, all major equipment in small shops was driven by a single motor system. This press came to the museum from a small newspaper and job shop in the Austin area.
