What looks almost like a present day antique store is probably a home furnishings showroom from the early 1900s. Two men stand among crowded displays of lamps, wash basins, furniture, bird cages, and other household goods packed tightly into the narrow interior. Larger pieces, including a tall mirrored cabinet or wardrobe, line the right side of the room, while additional furnishings appear stacked toward the rear and upper loft area. A cylindrical object in the foreground may be a stove or heating appliance. Faint penciled markings appear on the back of the mount, though their meaning is unclear.
