The interior of this cigar store comes with unusually detailed identification. A label attached to the bottom of the mount, likely added long after the photograph was taken, reads: “1906 Leo Bistodeau now has his own Cigar Store. To rt. is his wife Susie and 1 yr. old Edythe Frances. (Plymouth Ave.).” On the reverse is written: “510 Plymouth. Leo W. Bistodeau Store 1906. Mrs. Susie E. Bistodeau and Daughter Edythe.”
Large glass display cases line both sides of the narrow shop, filled with boxes of cigars and other merchandise. Shelves behind the counters hold tobacco products, packaged goods, jars, and assorted sundries. At the center rear of the store, a prominent sign advertises Lawrence Barrett 10¢ cigars.
