Postcard with a photo of the Chicago Staff Band in 1920. The men are arranged in three rows, seated and standing, in front of an American flag and the band flag. Each musician, wearing a band uniform, is holding their brass instrument, with the exception of two men in front. They are seated on the ground, holding drumsticks, and flanking the bass drum. Two smaller drums rest against the bigger drum. The bandmaster is seated directly behind them. The caption, The Salvation Army Chicago Staff Band, is printed in black below the photo.
The back of the postcard has two sections, titled Correspondence (left) and Address (right) with a larger stencil font over POST CARD. The stamp box has AZO printed around the edges with upright triangles in the upper corners and downward triangles in the lower corners. The year 1920 is handwritten in red, possibly in crayon, and the name Mrs. Col. Fynn is penciled in the corner.Acquisition
