Postcard with a photo of the Chicago Staff Band, c.1913. The bandsmen are arranged into three rows, seated and standing, with each musician in uniform and holding their brass instruments. A young boy, also wearing a band uniform, is seated in front of the first row, holding a cornet. The band's bass drum, with The Salvation Army crest and the band name painted on the drumhead, can be seen on the right. A smaller drum is laying on the ground in front of it.
The back of the postcard has a thin vertical line separating the correspondence and address sections with the word POST CARD printed above. The year 1913 is handwritten in green ink in the upper left corner.Acquisition
