Description

Accordion, made by Stahltone. The accordion has two wooden boxes joined by a bellows in the middle. Each box has applied faux marquetry inlay and metal wrapped sides. A leather strap across the front and back holds the boxes together. Metal latches allow the accordion to close completely for travel and/or storage. The side opposite of the keyboard has eight mother of pearl bass buttons and a leather carrying strap. The keyboard has mother of pearl buttons and bone keys. A carved wood grille with a fabric screen is above the keyboard. The opposite side is also vented but with round holes and a fabric screen under. The manufacturer's name is engraved on a metal plate and attached on one side of the instrument.
