Scope and Content

Picture postcard of the Chicago Staff Band. A group of men, dressed in band uniforms and holding a brass instrument, are seated and standing. A man holding the bass drum is sitting on the left side and a small drum is standing on the right side. The following text is printed in white just under the men: "Stevens Schiller Bldg Chicago" on the left and on the right, "Columbian Eng. Co. Chi.". The back of the postcard has handwritten notes: "Chicago Staff Band 1909"; "Col. John T. Fynn - leader William Broughton-bandmaster" and "Property of Margaret Reichardt". The word Original is stamped in the message section of the postcard.
