Description

Photo of the John M. Paton family. Seated in the first row are sons James, John W., David, and Robert Paton. Standing behind them are Jane (McMahon) Paton, John M. Paton, and adopted daughter Ursula Paton. This is a studio photo of the family, with everyone wearing their Salvation Army uniforms and the women wearing their bonnets. A black editing crop line is drawn horizontally above their heads. The back of the photo identifies each person, noting that David and Ursula were both serving as lieutenants in The Salvation Army while the three younger boys were bandsmen. There are also stamps for publication in the War Cry.
