Scope and Content

Postcard with a black-and-white photo of the entrance gates to Wonderland Camp with the road going through two curved fieldstone fences punctuated by short columns. The camp sign, reading "The Salvation Army Fresh Air Camp" is an arched wood piece attached between the far columns. The caption, "Entrance to Salvation Army Fresh Air Camp, Camp Lake, Wis" is printed along the lower edge. The production number, 19502-8, is printed in the lower right corner. The back of the postcard has "C.R. Childs Company, Mfrs, 5707 W. Lake St., Chicago" printed vertically in the center, separating the correspondence and address sections. The publisher's logo is printed as part of the stamp box with text to its left: "Souvenir Post Card". A handwritten note is in the address section: "The End of The Road of King Happiness The end of a long trail taken annually by the Keeper o' the portal - Wanyecha". Additional handwritten notes are in the correspondence section: "Is this your goal for 1929? Aye!" and "To Kyah from Art".
