Commemorative Key. An ornate gold key with a stylized and textured "W" on the blade end of the shank /stem which has Worcester imprinted on it. The bow end is also textured and features an open heart shape. The reverse side has the same textured finish and has Council / Manager / Government imprinted on the shank. The key rests inside a blue presentation box with a hinged lid. The inside of the lid is imprinted in gold: The Honorable Joseph M. Tinsley / Mayor / Worcester, Massachusetts / A Town June 14, 1772 / A City Feb. 29, 1848. The town seal, also imprinted in gold, is above the text. The circular emblem features a central symbol of a heart within a wreath and an outer ring with the city name and dates of incorporation.Acquisition
