Description

Winter jacket, made by Marker, and used during the 2002 Winter Olympics held at Salt Lake City, Utah. The campaign logo, More Than Gold with a five-pointed, multi-colored star is embroidered over the left breast. The right shoulder of the jacket has another embroidered logo of the lit Olympic torch with five stars rising from the flames and a Salvation Army Red Shield logo in the center. More Than Gold 2002 is embroidered below that in royal blue. The jacket has two parts: an interior, lighter weight fleece jacket that zips into the heavier outer layer. The back of the jacket has the manufacturer, Marker, on a tag attached to the outside of the collar. The 2002 Winter Olympics logo, featuring a stylized snowflake with light blue / white / orange / yellow segments, Salt Lake 2002 and the five intertwined Olympic rings in black, is embroidered in the center of the shoulder area. A metal and enamel pin with the 2002 Olympics logo is pinned on the left under the More Than Gold logo, announcing the wearer "Ich Spreche Deutsch" [I speak German], cataloged as 2017.5.9.
