Photo postcard. The black and white image depicts the main lounge inside the U.S.O. Club in Highwood, Illinois. Chairs and tables are grouped around the room. Bookcases full of books are lined up against a far wall. A refreshment area with stools can be seen in the corner on the left. A Salvation Army Red Shield logo hangs on the wall. A caption, "U.S.O. operated by The Salvation Army, 346 Waukegan Ave., Highwood, ILL" is printed in white along the bottom edge. The production number, J-2, is printed on the lower right corner.
The back of the photo has the publisher's information printed vertically, separating the correspondence and address sections. That text reads: "All Rights Reserved - The L.L. Cook Co., Milwaukee". The company name and address is also stamped in blue across the back: "The L.L. Cook Company, Photo Post Cards, 926 North Jefferson Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin". The stamp box in the upper right corner has a dotted line around the edges with EKC printed across the top line.Acquisition
