Postcard with a black-and-white photo of the entrance gateway to Shagbark Camp near Camp Lake, Wisconsin (now Salem Lakes, Wisconsin). The log entryway features two towers on either side of the road with a portal over the road. A large sign on the portal has the camp name on it with a horse in the center. A cupola is on top of the portal. Each tower has shrubbery around it and a large sign portraying a Boy Scout on the left and a Girl Guard on the right. A caption, printed in black on a white lower border, reads: "Gateway to Shagbark" Salvation Army Shagbark Camp, P.O. Camp Lake, Wisconsin 19543.
The back of the card has the publisher information printed vertically in the center, splitting the address and correspondence sections. It reads: Original Camera Study / Reproduction Rights Reserved / C.R. Childs Co., 5707 Lake St., Chicago.Acquisition
