The girls, in uniform, are lined up on the left side while the boys, also in uniform are lined up on the right, in front of a building. A girl, in a Girl Guard uniform, holding an American flag, stands in the center of the doorway and an array of flags with a Red Shield in the center is behind her. Flanking her on the left is another girl, dressed in white, with sashes across her shoulder and a crown on her head. A boy, dressed as "Uncle Sam" in patriotic clothing, stands to the right of the flag girl.
