Description

Black and white photograph of several (6?) Salvation Army war service workers standing and sitting at the gate and entrance to a chateau. The gateway has trees on either side of it, and the entranceway has shrubbery on either side of it. Written in ink on the back is, "S. A. HQ. AT LIGNY-EN-BARRIOS -". Ligny-en-Barrois is a commune in the Meuse department in Grand Est in north-eastern France. "S. A. HG" likely stands for Salvation Army Headquarters, suggesting that a chateau in Ligny-en-Barrois was used as Salvation Army Headquarters during World War I.
