The monument is of a man (Kaiser Wilhem I) in uniform, riding a horse. Written on the back of the photograph in pencil is, "KAISER WILHELM/ RHINE". The Kaiser Wilhlem I Statue is located in Koblenz, Germany, where the Rhein and Mosel Rivers meet.
