Black and white horizontal photograph of buildings at Camp Pontanezen near Brest, France. The sky is cloudy and the campground terrain appears to consist of dirt, rocks, and maybe grass. There are two identical buildings next to each other, both long with some time of barrel/rainbow/arched roof. The building on the right is partially constructed, with its beams visible. The building on the left looks to be fully ocnstructed and has smoke coming out of a chimney at its front. In front of the two buildings are two long, pitched tents or sheds. Surrouning the buildings tents/sheds are several men walking, ladders, and several piles of beams. Written on the back of the photograph in blue ink is "BUILDINGS AT CAMP/ PONTANEZEN, BREST."
Camp Pontanezen was located near Brest France, and was a campground from which American soliders were returned to the United States.Acquisition
