The Salvation Army teamed up with Grace Hospital for a joint fundraiser to build a new hospital. Several of the women officers who had served as Doughnut Girls during World War I were appointed to work in the replica hut, which was on Washington Boulevard between State Street and Grand River Avenue.Acquisition
