Photo taken during a Red Kettle Campaign in Indianapolis, Indiana. On the far left, Major Stig Franzen can be seen holding his brass horn and on the right is Brigadier Herbert Hill. The remaining men in the group are members of the Downtown Exchange Club and are volunteering as bell ringers. One of the men is holding a small kettle in addition to his bell and several of the men are holding shallow bowls. The men are wearing signs over their hats that read: Downtown Exchange Club Boosting Salvation Army Christmas Fund. A large sign behind the group reads: Downtown Exchange Club and Salvation Army Christmas Bell Ringers.
