Photo taken inside the Red Shield Club in Kansas City, Missouri. Soldiers, seated in folding chairs, are lined up the depth and width of the room, facing the photographer. Large windows can be seen in the far background. A newspaper article in The Kansas City Times indicates that the club played free movies daily for servicemen.
