A woman, part of the Kansas City (Temple) Corps Home League is seen on the right, presenting one of the boxes to Adjutant Ray Thomas, the director of the Red Shield Club. Two large photographs of US Army General Douglas MacArthur (left) and US President Franklin D. Roosevelt (right) hang on the wall behind the group. Brigadier Lucy Grantham and Adjutant Ellenor Thomas (later Duerr) are seated in the first row, second and third from the left.
