Charles Brandt is seated between his parents, wearing a white top and white shorts. The back of the photo has the location Soerabaja 1924 handwritten in blue ink. Another note written below it is in Swedish and refers to the Brandts in Java. Both location names have changed so the location is Surabaya, the capital of the East Java Province in Indonesia.
