The women, both World War I Doughnut Girls, were helping fundraise for a joint building campaign between The Salvation Army, Detroit's Grace Hospital, and the Narcotic Educational Association held in May 1929. The hut was set up on Washington Boulevard between State Street and Grand River Avenue.Acquisition
