Description

Cabinet card photograph of an unidentified young woman. She is wearing a dark dress with puffed sleeves (either a modified leg of mutton or a bishop's sleeve style) and a smocked front. A silver Salvation Army shield pin can be seen at the throat of her high collared dress. A light colored piping can be seen on the edges of the collar. A dark watch chain / cord hangs around her neck. The woman is also wearing a Salvation Army bonnet with heavy ruffling forming a frame around her neck. The photographer's name, Rider, and location, 867 1/2 W. Madison, Chicago, are debossed along the lower edge of the card.
